PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the hydraulic surge at a low temperature time favorably, restrain the increase of the diameter direction size of a transmission and also improve the rigidity of a case. SOLUTION: In the installation structure of a relief valve interposed in the oil passage for connecting an oil delivery port provided on an oil pump cover with the oil supply port of a control valve arranged on the downside of the speed change mechanism in a transmission case 1 and for making the delivery pressure of the oil discharged from the oil delivery port to a prescribed pressure, the transmission case 1, torque converter housing 2 and oil pump cover are molded integrally so that the part near the oil delivery port of this transmission case 1 is projected to the torque converter housing 2 side and the relief valve circuit 7 of the relief valve 6 is arranged on this projection part 5 while communicating with the oil passage.
