PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual fuel measuring device for an automobile for measuring residual liquid fuel in a fuel tank without using any sensor for detecting the change of the liquid level of liquid fuel such as a level gauge. SOLUTION: This residual fuel measuring device for an automobile is constituted of a pump 6 arranged in the middle of air piping 40 provided in a canister 30 of an evaporation fuel processor 5, fuel meter 7 for displaying residual liquid fuel, and control circuit 8 for calculating the residual liquid fuel left in a fuel tank 2 by an arithmetic operation. Thus, when the supply of oil to the fuel tank 2 is completed, a tank spatial capacity being a spatial capacity in the fuel tank 2 is calculated based on pump discharge and elapsed time since the operation of the pump 6 is started until an in-tank pressure reaches a set pressure so that the residual liquid fuel left in the fuel tank 2 can be precisely measured based on the calculated tank spatial capacity.
