摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean up only a partial flow of exhaust gas, and lengthen the service life of a reactor by constituting the reactor composed of a catalytic material for reducing the NOx content in exhaust gas so as to clean up only a partial flow of engine exhaust gas at full load time of an engine in the maximum capacity. SOLUTION: An exhaust system in an engine of a ship using heavy oil as fuel has an exhaust gas receiver 5 for exhausting exhaust gas exhausted from respective cylinders 2 through a pipe 4 so that the exhaust gas in the exhaust gas receiver 5 is discharged in the atmosphere by passing through a turbocharger 6 through an intermediate pipe 6. In this case, conduits 13, 15 are arranged so as to connect both ends of the exhaust gas receiver 5 so that a pump member 14 and a reactor 11 are interposed in the midway. Only a partial flow of the exhaust gas at full load time of the engine 1 is cleaned by this reactor 11. A nozzle 16 is arranged to supply a reducing agent to the upstream inlet conduit 13 of the pump member 14 to properly inject an aqueous solution such as ammonia.
