PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Y-shaped strainer capable of easily performing cleaning work. SOLUTION: The Y-shaped strainer 110 is provided with an inlet side valve 130 disposed in an inlet 116 of fluid 114 containing refuse 112 to make the fluid 114 flow in from the inlet 116 in normal use and to cut off the flow-in of the fluid 114 at the time of cleaning, an outlet side valve 136 disposed in an outlet 126 for the used fluid 120 to make the used fluid 120 flow out from the outlet 126 in normal use and to close the outlet 126 at the time of cleaning, back washing means 136, 144 for introducing back washing fluid 145 from a passage 114 of the outlet side to the inside of the strainer 111 at the time of cleaning and a discharge valve 148 to open a screen 118 and the downstream side of a holder 122 to discharge the refuse 112 in the screen 118 out of the strainer 110 at the time of cleaning.
