PURPOSE: Pentafluorobenzenesulfonamide derivatives and analogs and their use as pharmacologically active agents are provided, which are used as lead compounds for the development of cancer, vascular resistances, microbial infections, and psoriasis. CONSTITUTION: Compositions find particular use as pharmacological agents in the treatment of disease states, particularly cancer, vascular resistances, microbial infections, and psoriasis, or as lead compounds for the development of such agents. The compositions include compounds of general formula (I).
