PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic polyamide fiber paper excellent in heat resistance and electrical insulating properties at high humidity, especially suitable as a substrate for laminates for electric circuits and eliminating the deformation (twisting, warpage, waving, etc.), in a production process for a laminate without causing problems about defective electrical insulating even at the high humidity. SOLUTION: This aromatic polyamide fiber paper has the content of staple fibers accounting for 70-96 wt.% of the total weight of the paper and the content of an organic resin binder accounting for 4-30 wt.% of the total weight of the paper in the aromatic polyamide fiber paper consisting essentially of aromatic polyamide staple fibers and an organic resin binder. p-Aramid staple fibers having at least two mutually independent cyclic protruding parts in the longitudinal direction in the aromatic polyamide staple fibers so as to provide the maximum diameter of the respective cyclic protruding parts of >=1.1 times the average diameter of small-diameter parts joining the cyclic protruding parts account for >=30 wt.% in the aromatic polyamide staple fibers.
