PURPOSE: A method for setting up ID(Identification) of a broadcasting satellite receiver is provided to give the ID by simply handling, when performing an efficiency test of the broadcasting satellite receiver which the manufacture is completed. CONSTITUTION: A method for setting up ID(Identification) of a broadcasting satellite receiver comprises the steps of: connecting a personal computer with a broadcasting satellite receiver; transmitting a control message to the broadcasting satellite receiver, by generating the control message corresponding to data when the data for giving the ID is inputted; transmitting the ID to the broadcasting receiver by inputting the ID, when a response message for allowing the ID input is delivered to the personal computer; and resetting the broadcasting satellite receiver after storing the ID to a predetermined memory block in the broadcasting satellite receiver, when the ID is received. |
