PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing surface cover paper for a model plane made of a thin sheet of Japanese paper on which complicated patterns can be printed in colors. SOLUTION: This surface cover paper 1 is made of a thin Japanese paper sheet and for covering the surface of a frame of wood, etc., in the form of a model plane. The surface cover paper 1 is manufactured as follows. The basic image of each cover paper sheet of a prescribed shape with desired colored patterns to cover the surface of each frame part of the model plane is edited and inputted in a computer. Discrimination data such as a mark indicating nationality, etc., are additionally inputted on the basic image of the cover paper. The superposed paper 4 for printing consisting of a thin sheet of Japanese paper 2 and water-absorptive superposed paper 3 is fed to the printing part of a color printer from the adhesion edge 5 of the superposed paper 4, and the inputted data are printed in colors on the thin sheet of Japanese paper 2 of the superposed paper 4 for printing.
