PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a training device by which training of an inspection worker of gas facility is efficiently conducted by means of a virtual reality. SOLUTION: A picture display device is provided with a storage section 1, that stores the picture data of gas equipment and the environment, in which gas equipment is placed, and a portion of the gas equipment in a hierarchical structure following a prescribed rule, a selection section 2, which selects the picture data stored in the section 1, and a display control section 3, which displays the picture data selected by the section 2. The section 2 replaces higher- order hierarchical picture data with lower-order hierarchical picture data belonging to a prescribed region by the operation that selects a prescribed region on the screen that displays the picture belongs to the higher-order hierarchical picture and the picture data are displayed on the section 3. Two configurations are considered to use the device, i.e., one configuration is to provide the device in the home page of Internet and the home page is accessed through a communication line. The other configuration is the program recorded in a CD-ROM and used on a stand alone personal computer.
