Optical transmitter for multi-channel optical data transmission

The optical transmitter has a number of individual laser transmitters (1,2,...n), for providing corresponding signals. Each transmitter is supplied with a bias current and an individual correction current. The correction currents are selected so that the laser transmitters provide a uniform mean output power at the operating point for the same bias current. The correction currents may be supplied by individual correction current sources (E1,E2,....En).
