PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift mechanism control device preventing shift changes not intended by a driver from being generated, and further enhancing controllability. SOLUTION: This device has a column shift control lever 2 provided near a steering wheel 1, a steering shaft 16 responding to the operation of the steering wheel 1, and a shift shaft 22 which rotates when the control lever 2 is operated in a first direction d3, and which moves axially when the control lever 2 is operated in a second direction differing from the first direction, the axial direction S2 of the shift shaft 22 differing from the axial direction S1 of the steering shaft 16. |
