PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the number of detection elements smaller than an array made up of detection elements of equal length by designing a spatially coded detector so as to make it permit a more efficient detection area for the group of slices of a variety of thickness and the group of a set of a plurality of slices produced simultaneously. SOLUTION: A CT scanner 10 has a disk 12 supported rotatably around the axis of rotation as the Z-axis inside a structural base 14, the disk 12 is provided with an opening 16 receiving an object 18, an object to be scanned. An X-ray source 20 is arranged on the disk 12 to generate an X-ray cone beam 22 across the opening 16, and, projected on a detector array 24 located opposite a source 20 after the X-ray passes the object 18. The output of each detector element of the detector array 24 is sent to a data collection system(DAS) 40, the DAS 40 is further connected to a processor 42, and the processor 42 provides a data value to a reconstruction computer 44. |
