BURNER AND METHOD FOR VITRIFYING POWDER PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner for raising temperature of a powder solid product that has been foamed having a low true calorific value. SOLUTION: A low true calorific value product is foamed and introduced into a center conduit 32 of a pipe 3 contained in a channel 1 in which an atomizing fluid of a burner is allowed to flow. A fuel is made to flow into an annular conduit 33 of the pipe 3 and an oxidizing agent is made to flow into a passage 12 surrounding the pipe 3. A powder accelerated by a fluid is sprayed to solid particles constituting a mist. The particles are heated and introduced into a flame made from the fuel and the oxidizing agent for liquefaction. A vitrified matter formed by cooling and a combustion gas capable of containing a heavy metal are removed for the purpose of guiding them to a combustion exhaust gas treatment plant.
