<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pellet insertion hole from being destroyed owing to a deposition layer melting and adhering onto a furnace floor, and further prevent operation efficiency from being lowered. SOLUTION: A long rectangular through-hole is formed in a ceiling wall of a furnace body 16 radially of the furnace body 16, and a pellet insertion inlet 28 is inserted into the through-hole elevatably. Two insertion inlet fluid pressure cylinders 54, 54 are inversely disposed on an upper surface of the ceiling wall. A piston rod 54a directed to a lower portion of each cylinder 54 is connected with a flange 28b formed on an upper end of the pellet insertion inlet 28.</p> |
