PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition which is rapid-curing, can form a tough coating film having high flexibility and high adhesion, and is suited as, especially, a can coating material without using any special ventilator by mixing a resin having a specified Tg with an imido (meth)acrylate and other ethylenically unsaturated compounds. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a resin having a Tg of 50-250 deg.C, (B) an imido (meth)acrylate represented by the formula (wherein R is H or methyl), and (C) an ethylenically unsaturated compound other than component B. The mixing ratio among the respective components is preferably such that components A, B, and C account for 3-45 wt.%, 0.1-40 wt.%, and 15-96.9 wt.%, respectively. Component A is exemplified by an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, a exylene resin, or a ketone/formaldehyde resin. Component C is exemplified by a styrene, a vinyl ether, a monofunctional (meth)acrylate, or a polyester (meth)acrylate.
