The device has a trigger (11) for activating an actuator (6,7) which drives the fastener towards a work surface (12) with a safety arrangement (13,15-18) for deactivation of the actuator. This safety arrangement has a transmitting unit (16) for generation of a signal towards the surface (12), a receiving unit (17) for detection of a signal that is reflected from the surface, and an activation unit (18) which is adapted for the deactivation, in the event of a measure of the reflected signal being below a predetermined value. |
