PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instantaneous water boiler which is equipped with such a control means as to raise the hot water delivery property by shortening the time from the start of hot water supply operation to ignition. SOLUTION: An instantaneous water boiler is equipped with a heat exchanger, a combustor, a fan 13 for combustion, a means for detecting the number of revolutions of a fan, and a counter 20 for integrating the number of revolutions of the fan, and it possesses a prepurge function and a post purge function. When hot water supply operation is stopped, this boiler resets the counter 20 and settles the number of revolutions of a fan in post charge after stoppage of hot water supply operation in the counter 20. When the settlement value gets over the specified value, if there is a hot water supply operation command, this shifts immediately to an igniting action without performing the precharge. in case that there is a hot water operation command before the post charge is not finished, this changes the number of revolutions of a combustion fan to the number of revolution of precharge and performs the purge, and when the settlement value of the counter 20 gets over the specified value, this shifts immediately to the igniting action.
