ELECTRONIC DEVICE HAVING MULTIPROCESSOR AND METHOD FOR DEBUGGING SLAVE PROCESSOR THROUGH MASTER PROCESSOR

PURPOSE: An electronic device having a multiprocessor and a method for debugging a slave processor through a master processor is provided to debug a slave processor having a memory like a ROM through a master processor by using a multitude of registers for performing a debugging operation. CONSTITUTION: An electronic device having a multiprocessor comprises a slave processor and a master processor. The master processor is used as a CPU(200). The slave processor is used as a digital signal processor(400). A method for debugging a slave processor through a master processor comprises the steps of: writing an address from a master processor to a first register(310); writing a data from a master processor to a second register(320); writing a writing enable signal from a master processor to a third register(330); jumping a slave processor to an interrupt service routine; writing a program address to a fourth register(340); setting a fifth register(350) by a particular data; and displaying a program address stored in the fifth register.
