PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake operating force detector capable of highly accurately detecting a brake operating force. SOLUTION: This detector is provided with a base member 38 for transmitting a brake operating force FB from a brake pedal, a booster side operating rod 34 for receiving the operating force, and a bar-like member 40 connected to the base member 38 and the booster side rod 34. The bar-like member 40 is extended in a direction perpendicular to the transmitting direction of the operating force, and the connecting parts of the base member and the like are biased from each other in its direction. When the operating force is applied, a shearing force acts on the bar-like member, and strain occurs due to bending. This strain is accurately detected as one corresponding to the operating force by a strain gauge 46. |
