PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel stand device with high reliability of operation by securing an engaging relation between a reel latching member of a reel stand device and a projecting part of a reel hub when the reel stand device is driven to rotate. SOLUTION: This reel stand device has such a structure as a reel latching member 12a is not drawn into a slot part 12c when the reel stand device 10A is driven to rotate, by providing a stepped (recessed) stopper part 12e on the inner wall in the slot part 12c of the reel engaging member 12 of the reel stand device 12. Therefore, the engaging relation between the reel latching member 12a and a reel hub 7 can be secured, and rotational power is surely transmitted from the reel stand device 10A to the reel hub 7.
