PURPOSE: A sterilizing device is provided which could prevent the natural growth of contaminants such as microorganism, lichen, bacilli and the like and the formation of scale and could eliminate the formed contaminants in the flowed or stored water by controlling the forming rate of metal ions according to the electricity and the conductivity change of water.. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises (i) a rectangular chamber(32) where the upper part isopen and water could flow; (ii) a level sensor(36) which is installed in the chamber(32) and detects the level of water; (iii) two electrodes(38a, 38b) which are installed in both sides of the upper part of the chamber being parallel to the direction of the flow of water; (iv) an electrode space controlling part which is installed in one side of the upper part of the chamber(32) and controls the space of the two electrodes(38a, 38b); (v) a scale eliminating part which eliminates oxide coating formed on the electrodes by moving up and down the two electrodes(38a, 38b); and (vi) a controlling part which controls the electricity permitted on the two electrodes(38a, 38b) and the driving of the electrode space controlling part and the scale eliminating part. |
