PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accumulation of dirt and dust at the connection sections between a floor and a toilet stool and between a cabinet and a wall and to improve the cleanability of the connection sections by forming a member installed at the connection sections between the floor and the toilet stool and between the cabinet and the wall into a nearly triangular cross sectional shape. SOLUTION: This gap sealing member 1 is provided with a surface section 2 formed nearly obliquely from an upper end section 3 toward a lower end section 4, a nearly triangular bottom face section 6, and a back face section 5 recessed slightly. Insertion sections 7 each having a nearly triangular apex are formed at fixed intervals on the nearly triangular bottom face section 6, and hook sections 8 are formed on the insertion sections 7 so that the gap sealing member 1 is not simply removed after the insertion sections 7 are inserted into a gap. The insertion sections 7 of the gap sealing member 1 are inserted and fitted into the gap 14 between the floor material surface section 13 of a floor material 12 and a toilet stool 10 until the upper end section 3 of the gap sealing member 1 is closely stuck to a toilet stool side face section 11. The cleanability of the connection section between the toilet stool 10 and the floor material 12 can be improved.
