PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a bad condition in which the number of rotations of an engine is abruptly reduced and a control lag occurs in the starting of reaping when an operation load suddenly increases. SOLUTION: A reaping part at the front part of a machine body is set at the input side of a controller 11. Grain culm sensors (right and left) 12 and 13 for detecting the presence of grain culm line, an automatic switch 14, an engine rotation sensor 15 and an axle position sensor 16 are connected to the input side of the controller. An axle open relay 17 and an axle close relay 18 are connected to the output side. When the grain culm sensors 12 and 13 are changed from off to on, starting of reaping is judged and the number of rotations of an engine is made larger than a fixed value.
