PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst, a treatment process and a device thereof for making harmless nitrogen oxide and chlorinated aromatic compounds such as dioxins contained in exhaust gas. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas treatment catalyst is composed of a carrier formed of compound oxide containing at least two kinds or more selected out of titanium(Ti), silicon(Si), aluminum(Al), zirconium(Zr), phosphorus(P) and boron(B) and an active component formed of at least one kind of oxide out of oxides of vanadium(V), tungsten(W), molybdenum(Mo), niobium(Nb) and tantalum(Ta), and its surface area is 100 m2/g or more and its solid acid amount is 0.36 mmol/g or more, and harmful substances in exhaust gas are decomposed at 150-250 deg.C. Also a treatment device thereof is constituted of an exhaust gas treatment device for cleaning exhaust gas exhausted out of an incinerator, a dust removing device for removing soot and dust in exhaust gas and a catalyst device 13 for removing harmful substances such as dioxins and high condensation aromatic hydrocarbon in exhaust gas 11 exhausted out of the incinerator. |
