PURPOSE: A steel plate blanking cupping tester is provided to accurately inspect a molding limit by changing the height of a die plate depending on the thickness of a material. CONSTITUTION: A cupping tester consists of a lower holder (3); a supporting block (8) in the center of the lower holder with a hollow portion; a pair of die plates (51,52) symmetrically divided with a hollow portion, on the supporting block; a calibrating block (10) making each die plate in different height to make a steel plate (2) horizontal, between one of die plates and the supporting block; a blank holder (7) supporting the steel plate on the die plate, in the center of the upper holder; and a cylindrical punch (6) pushing the steel plate into the hollow portion, in the center of the blank holder. The calibrating block is placed between the right die plate (51) and the supporting block and combined with the right die plate and the supporting block by a bolt. Then, the right die plate is increased more than the left die plate (52) as much as the height of the calibrating block. In this state, the steel plate is settled on the die plates to be balanced. An upper holder (4) descends and the blank holder pushes the balanced steel plate. Therefore, when the cylindrical punch pushes the steel plate, the steel plate is prevented from pleated.
