<p>This invention relates to a middle armor block for a coastal structure and a method of placement of its block with a hydraulic stability of a slope surface and an economical construction cost. The middle armor block of the half-loc comprises a body (10) forming an octagon column with a rectangle side and a perforated hole (12) at the center, a leg (14) integrally formed and attached to alternatively each side of the body (10) and a protruding foot (16) at a lower portion of the leg and each corner of the leg (14) and the foot (16) is chamfered. For a placement type of the blocks, the middle armor block of the half-loc are tilted with a certain angle and each side portion of the leg (14) of the block is contacted to the other side portion of the leg (14) of neighbor block all around directions in series.</p> |
