PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a lifting apparatus in a low deck vehicle and provide high- grade safety against buckling by separating a hydraulic cylinder and a ram from each other and storing the ram in a guide pipe. SOLUTION: A piston rod 9 and a ram 3 are articulated to each other and are jointed by a ball cap 8 mutually acting on a ball socket 7 formed at a contact surface part. The diameter of an end part facing the ram 3 of a cylinder 2 becomes large, which meets the diameter of a supporting ring or a stopper nut 12. The ram 3 is guided inside a guide pipe 4. The guide pipe 4 is formed with an insertion opening 5 for fixing the guide pipe 4 on the floor part of a vehicle. It is thus possible to use a lifting apparatus, especially an internal jack in a rail type vehicle (low deck type) whose floor bottom space is very limited without degrading all the safety of the lifting apparatus 1. |
