摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA containing a gene encoding a protein bindable to human microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and inhibiting MITF action, therefore useful in e.g. assessing the melanin productivity in human melanocytes. SOLUTION: This isolated new DNA is such one as to contain a gene encoding a protein bindable to human microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF) and inhibiting MITF action and be involved in the control of melanin synthesis in human melanocytes, therefore being useful in e.g. assessing the melanin productivity in human melanocytes. This DNA is obtained by subjecting a human fetal brain cDNA template to PCR technique using a primer made based on the sequence of rat rKr2 gene encoding a protein bindable to MITF.
