PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aerosol composition which, when sprayed, can form an icy, snowy, or sherbet-like spray to be stuck on the applied area, can therefore provide satisfactory cooling effect, and can persist in a cooling action. SOLUTION: This composition comprises a base solution containing 40.0-97.0 wt.% monohydric lower alcohol and 3.0-15.0 wt.% monohydric higher alcohol and a propellant and, when sprayed in a foamy or misty form, can form an icy, snowy, or sherbet-like spray to be stuck on the applied area in virtue of cooling by the heat of vaporization of the propellant. The propellant used is desirably dimethyl ether, liquefied petroleum gas, or a mixture thereof, and it is desirable in this case that the propellant is used in an amount of 40-300 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. base solution.
