<p>A microwave switch includes a housing (50) having at least three spaced coaxial conductor terminals (55, 56 and 57) extending from the housing (50); an electrical conductor (45, 46 and 47) extends inwardly from each of the terminals (55, 56 and 57) to a housing interior; and a housing cover (35) effectively seals the housing (50) and includes a pair of bearing apertures (40). A pair of switch operators (32), each having a headed top (32a) confines return springs (31) between an underside of the headed top (32a) and a top surface (35a) of the cover (35), a central guide portion (34) passes through said bearing apertures (4) and a distal end protrudes from an underside surface of the cover (35) into the housing interior toward the electrical conductors (45, 46 and 47). A switch reed (36) is fixedly attached to the distal end of each of the operators (32) within said housing (50), each switch reed (36) including reed distal ends (37) which electrically interconnect, upon alternative operation of said operators (32) by a rocker assembly (18), a pair of the electrical conductors (45, 46 and 47) including a common electrical conductor (46). The tip ends (37a) of the reeds (3) are cantilevered over a shallow bore (48) in the top of the common conductor (46) and cantilevered over a crowned top surface (49) of the non-common conductors (45 and 47).</p> |
