FIELD: manufacture of adjustable optical solid-state infrared lasers. SUBSTANCE: method for producing laser-active color centers TloVa+ in KCl-Tl chips includes bringing KCl-Tl chips in optical contact with CSl-Tl chips and simultaneously irradiating them by ionizing rays at 240-77 K. This increases concentration of laser-active TloVa+ color centers in KCl-Tl chips being active laser medium for adjustable lasers within range of wavelengths between 1.4 and 1.6 mcm.
