OWN RECOVERY METHOD AT A CLOCK ERROR IN A FRAME RELAY/ATM INTERWORKING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: An own recovery method is provided to reduce an interrupt time of a service by shortening a time consumed at a recovery process. CONSTITUTION: The own recovery method comprises the steps of: detecting whether a clock supplied from a frame clock distribution board assembly(FCDA) is normal, to generate a clock error interrupt; storing all information necessary for a recovery of a frame relay interface board assembly(FRIA) when the clock error interrupt is generated (310); inquiring a clock status register during a constant time after the generation of the clock error interrupt to then check whether the clock status register is normal (320); reporting a function accident of the FRIA to the FMDA when the clock status register is maintained with an abnormal status over the constant time (350); inquiring the clock status register again to then check whether the clock status register is normal (360); recovering the FRIA function when the clock status register is judged as a normal state (380); and reporting the normal function of the FRIA to the FMDA after recovering the FRIA function (390).
