PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a residual chlorine concentration in a condition closely reflecting the free residual chlorine concentration by reducing the influence of a combined residual chlorine concentration, thereby measuring the residual chlorine concentration in a condition accurately reflecting a degree of bacteriocidal effect of the water measured therein. SOLUTION: This residual chlorine measuring device 1 has at least a pair of positive and negative electrodes 32, 33, voltage is impressed between the positive and negative electrodes to detect a current value flowing when test water is electrolyzed, and a residual chlorine concentration contained in the test water is measured based on the current value. The voltage applied to the pair of electrodes 32, 33 is set to be within a range of 883 mV or more 903 mV or less. |
