PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor for preparing or changing an expected value required for verifying the logic of LSI having a function for outputting the data packet of ATM cell or the like by collating the expected value by unit of data packet. SOLUTION: As an expected value, a value having a prescribed symbol applied to the leading position of the data packet is used. When the data packet is inputted, the inputted data packet is located at the leading position and the application of the prescribed symbol to the data of the expected value is confirmed, the collation is started. Concerning such a system, an expected value collation model 103 is provided with an expected value file described in a hardware description language. Then, expected value information stored in the expected value file is read and the read value and the value of a data packet signal S2, which is inputted from an LSI model 102 during the execution of logic simulation, are collated by each clock unit.
