PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator which can present any one of analog or digital indication of an input quantity in addition to superposed analog and digital indications. SOLUTION: In a speed meter S, an EL panel 60 is provided on the surface side of a dial 30 illuminated by a light source 50 through a light guide plate. The El pane, the light source 50 or both of them is driven selectively. In order words, a passenger can presents a digital display, an analog display or a superposed display of vehicle speed by turning a changeover switch.
