PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow significant decrease in the apex height and improvement of bead durability by simplifying manufacturing process and realizing weight reduction. SOLUTION: In a carcass of the pneumatic tire, at least bead apex 5 is placed in a substantially triangular region Y defined by a ply body 6A and an upper portion 6B2 of a folded portion 6B of the ply. The bead apex 5 has an apex body 5A formed of a composite rubber material prepared by blending short fiber with a base material as the mixture of rubber and a synthetic resin. |
