MICROWAVE OVEN HAVING OVERHEAT PREVENTION FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A microwave oven having an overheat prevention function and to be used selectively in the open area or closed space within a cabinet is provided. CONSTITUTION: The microwave oven comprises; a cover temperature sensor to detect the over temperature and prevent an overheat; a transfer switch to select the application or non-application of the cover temperature sensor by the on/off movement; a microcomputer to control the on/off movement of the transfer switch by the manipulation signal of the key input part; when it is placed in the closed space within a cabinet an overheat caused by the temperature change around the cover is detected by the cover temperature sensor and a safety measure to cope with it is taken and the overheat from the external cause can be prevented quickly.
