PURPOSE: A control method and the circuit of a microwave oven which uses many heaters as a heating device is provided to control heater more accurately. CONSTITUTION: The control circuit of the microwave oven comprises; parallel connected many heaters(50,52,80,82); a relay, serially connected to the heaters and to close and open the channel of the heater current; a triac connected to the supply side terminal and to the relay. The circuit is controlled in steps; an input step, to input heater operation control signal; a control step, to control the relay operation while opening and closing the channel of the electric current flowing toward the heaters; power feeding step, to feed power, after the relay is driven, to heaters by controlling the triac(90). With this control method, damage not only to the circuit but also to the relay caused by the remaining current is prevented, enhancing the reliability of the product.
