The seal uses two discs of cardboard, plastics or metal, having the same diameter as the elevator pit. Central circle of the diameter of the hydraulic cylinder are stamped out, and two opposing holes are made having the diameter of a measuring tube. A foaming material is placed into the elevator pit, the lower disc acting as a lower fixing point to attach to the wall of the pit. After the material is hardened, the upper disc is put in place. By creating an overpressure or vacuum in the created test space, a 15 minute test determines of the pressure changes. Prior to measurement, a fluid is placed on the upper disc test the seal.
