PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a joint thickness measuring jig capable of easily measuring the thickness of caulking material buried in a joint part, and a joint thickness measuring method using the jig. SOLUTION: This joint thickness measuring jig 1 measuring the thickness of joint material installed in a structure consists of a main body part 3 having a cylindrical holding part 2 which penetrates caulking material and is pulled out to hold a part of the caulking material in the inside, a pushing-out rod 4 pushing out the joint material held by the holding part 2 from the holding part 2, a fixing means 5 which fixes the pushing-out rod 4 from the holding part 2 and fixes the rod 4, and an operation grip 62 which moves the pushing- out rod 4 in the axial direction of the holding part 2 from the outside of the main body part 3, via a connection rod 61 connected with the pushing-out rod 4.
