PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart continuity in the appearance of a counterweight and a revolving frame or the like to improve the attractive external appearance by forming a level difference face projecting to the underface of the counter weight from the lower face and arranging the underface of the counterweight and the underface of the revolving frame so as to be substantially flush with each other. SOLUTION: A counterweight 26 is laid at the end of a revolving frame 8 of a hydraulic excavator 2, a construction machine having an upper revolving body 6, and provided with a face 26a having a level difference at the underface. The underface of the counterweight 26 and the underface of the revolving frame 8 are arranged on the same plane S. The level difference of the face 26a is formed to coincide with the thickness T of a bottom plate 18 and the width of the face is formed to coincide with the width of the bottom plate 18 respectively. Further, the face 26a having a level difference is integrally formed with the counterweight 26 with cast iron. Accordingly, this structure imparts continuity to the external appearance of the counterweight and the revolving frame to improves the external appearance.
