PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyamide resin compsn, improved in toughness and in the balance among elastic modulus, strength, and elongation by polymerizing raw polyamide materials in the presence of a specified amt. of an apatite-type compd. SOLUTION: Law polyamide materials of 50-99.5 wt.% and 0.5-50 wt.% apatite-type compd. are compounded and polymerized. The apatite-type compd. is a mixture of a phosphoric acid-type metal compd. and a nonphosphoric acid- type metal compd., pref. has an average particle size of 100μm or lower, and has a molar ratio of metal element/phosphorus of 1.1-10.0. The metal element is pref. at least one element of the group 2A of the periodic table, such as Mg, Ca, or Ba. The phosphoric acid-type metal compd. is a metal oxide, metal carbonate or the like, an example being calcium monohydrogenphosphate dihydrate, The nonphosphoric acid-type metal compd. is a metal hydroxide, a metal carbonate, or the like, examples being calcium carbonate and barium carbonate, The apatite compd. is represented by the formula: A10-Z (HPO4)2(PO4)6-Z(X)2-Z [wherein 0<=Z<2; A is a metal element; and X is an anion (compd.)].
