PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner wherein such possibility that a paper bag part is caught by the end part of an opening when a paper bag filter is taken out from a dust collecting room does not exist and when this is taken out, frictional resistance between the paper bag part and the inner face of the dust collecting room is small to make grasping of the frame of a mouth easy. SOLUTION: In the vacuum cleaner wherein a dust collecting room 2 opening upward and a dust suction hole 7 opening to the dust collecting room 2 are formed in the cleaner main body 1 and the top opening of the dust collecting room 2 is closed with a lid body 3 so as to be opened and closed and a paper bag filter 10 wherein a paper bag part 12 made of a filter is integrally provided on a plate-like mouth frame 11 is arranged in the dust collecting room 2 and a suction hole 13 is provided at the center of the mouth frame and a clamping nail 14 for holding the mouth frame 11 on the cleaner main body 1 is provided on the cleaner main body 1 under a condition where both suction holes 7 and 13 are joined, the face connecting the opening edges 2 of the dust collecting room 2 passes approximately the center of the mouth frame 11.
