PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety of a battery, by using an additive having no adverse effect on battery characteristics, such as a low-temperature characteristic and storage characteristic, etc., even when it is added to an electrolyte, and effectively acting on overcharging. SOLUTION: An ester derivative, represented by the general formula, is included in an electrolyte obtained by dissolving a lithium salt as a solute in an organic solvent. In the formula, R1 represents a phenyl, biphenyl or alkylphenyl, and R2 represents an alkyl or 1-6C phenyl. |
