PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to obtain a high-quality picture display illuminating all valid display region uniformly. CONSTITUTION: The liquid crystal display device comprises: a reflective liquid crystal panel(1); an illuminating portion(3) disposed on a surface side of the liquid crystal panel(1), for illuminating the liquid crystal panel(1) from a display plane side; a touch panel(40) disposed on the illuminating portion(3), for inputting information from a screen of the liquid crystal panel(1); and a transparent insulating film(40F) disposed between a transparent hardened substrate(40B) of the touch panel(40) and a transparent electrode(40D).
