PURPOSE: The invention relates to an additive polymerization catalyst compositions including yttrium complex of dibenzopyrrole-substituted cyclopentadienyl or substituted cyclopentadienyl ligand (formula 1). Also the invention relates to using methods of the catalyst compositions in an additive polymerization reaction for polymerizing additive polymeric monomer. CONSTITUTION: The invention relates to a metal catalyst, and an additive polymerization catalyst having improved catalytic activity. More particularly, the invention relates to additive polymerization catalyst compositions including yttrium complex of dibenzopyrrole-substituted cyclopentadienyl or substituted cyclopentadienyl ligand (formula 1).
