PURPOSE: An effervescent preparation for plants is easy to apply to the field through dissolution or diffusion and relatively stable in storage, compared with aqueous solution type preparations, thus causing little putrefaction or deterioration due to contamination, and is excellent in handle ability. The preparation is also applicable directly to a watered paddy field by throwing, which shortens the working time and/or reduces the manpower. CONSTITUTION: The effervescent preparation includes a solid composition at least comprising carbonate salt and/or hydrogencarbonate salt, water-soluble solid acid, yeast extract and/or methionine. The effervescent preparation also comprises at least one substance selected from the group consisting of active components of an agricultural medicine, a fertilizer and a surfactant.
