PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin excellent in adhesiveness to other base materials and an affinity therefor and excellent in adhesive strength and heat resistance by selecting a modified copolymer prepared by grafting an unsaturated carboxylic acid onto an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer specified in properties such as density, MFR, and molecular weight distribution. SOLUTION: Use is made of a copolymer prepared by modifying, with an unsaturated carboxylic acid, an ethylene/5-12Cα-olefin copolymer having a density of 0.92-0.96 g/cm3, an MFR of 0.01-200 g/10 min, and a molecular weight distribution of 1.5-5.0; giving a single-peak elution temperature vs. eluate amount curve in the continuous temperature rising elution fractionation method; satisfying the relationships: T75-T25>=-300×d+285, d<0.950 g/cm3 (wherein T25 is a temperature corresponding to the elution of 25% of the total eluate in an integrated elution curve corresponding to the above curve, T75 is a temperature corresponding to the elution of 75% of the total eluate in the integrated curve, and d is a density) and T75-T25>=0 and T75-T25>=-670×d+644, d>=0.950 /cm3; having at least one melting peak; and satisfying the relationship: Tm1>=150×d-17 (wherein Tm1 is the highest melting point; and d is a density).
