PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap sealing material for a decorated column which does not use an organic solvent for execution and can be easily executed and finely finished, and can expect certain prevention of the sealing of a gap floating up from the gap. SOLUTION: In the state of two decorated cover members 3 oppositely attached to the periphery of a column material 2, a connecting tool 5 is inserted in inserting grooves 4 at both the ends of the decorated cover member 3, fastened and fixed to the column material 2 to construct a decorated column 1, a gap sealing material 40 for the decorated column composed of a base material 41 and a gasket 42 mutually connected is inserted into a gap 24 formed in a joint part 23 of the decorated cover member 3, and a stopper 45 formed on the base material 41 is locked in the inserting groove 4. The gap sealing material 40 is thereby fixed in the gap 24, and the first and the second lip parts 48, 49 formed on the gasket 42 are pressed against a joint face 21 during inserting, and deformed into an outward recessed segment-shape of the joint part 23 for sealing the gap 24. |
