摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the oxidation/degradation of a base isolation support over a long period by constituting the base isolation support interposed between a road bridge, a building and a sill by covering the outside surface of a laminated body by laminating/adhering a rigid hard plate and a viscoelastic soft plate with an elastic protective sheet. SOLUTION: This base isolation support A has a laminated body 3 constituted by laminating/adhering a viscoelastic soft plate 1 and a rigid hard plate 2 such as a steel plate. A lead plug 7 is inserted/arranged in a through-hole 10 of the laminated body 3 to absorb vibrational energy at earthquake time by using shearing deformation of the lead plug 7. A protective sheet 9 formed in a seamless loop shape is arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a surface layer 4 of the laminated body 3 to be brought into close contact with the outside surface of the surface layer 4 by the elasticity, and the protective sheet 9 is formed of an excellently weather resistant rubber material selected from a group composed of EPR, CR, silicone rubber, urethane rubber, NBR and fluororubber.
